Position: Paid Accounting Interns (5 Positions)
JALI Partners is currently recruiting five motivated and talented Accounting Interns to join its professional team in Kigali.
Internship Details

- Duration: 1 to 6 months
- Contract Opportunity: Possibility of permanent employment after successful internship completion
- Reporting To: Senior Accountants
Key Responsibilities
Selected interns will work closely with experienced accountants and gain practical exposure in accounting, taxation, auditing, and financial reporting. Main duties include:
- Preparing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for clients
- Assisting with statutory filings to RRA, RSSB, and RDB
- Participating in annual financial audits and audit report preparation
- Supporting financial compilation activities for clients
- Assisting in audit planning and execution
- Providing support in tax advisory and identifying potential tax risks or benefits
- Helping solve accounting and fiscal issues for clients
- Preparing business proposals and contracts
- Supporting improvements in accounting procedures and internal controls
- Performing additional tasks assigned by supervisors
Required Qualifications
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or completion of studies awaiting graduation
- Pursuing or holding professional accounting qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or other IFAC-recognized certifications
- Strong command of English and Kinyarwanda
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain high integrity
- At least one year of experience in accounting, finance, or related work
- Familiarity with Xero, QuickBooks Online, or other cloud accounting software
- Knowledge of the RRA e-tax system
- Experience preparing audit reports using Excel, Word, or financial reporting tools
- Previous experience in an accounting firm is an added advantage but not mandatory
