1. Baggage Services Agent

Department: Ground Services
Reports To: Baggage Services Supervisor
Duty Station: Kigali International Airport

Job Summary

The Baggage Services Agent plays a critical role in ensuring passengers receive efficient and professional baggage support throughout their travel experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling delayed, damaged, and missing baggage while maintaining excellent customer service standards and ensuring compliance with airline procedures.

This position requires an individual with exceptional communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced airport environment.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Monitor baggage movement using SITA WorldTracer, BRS, and CM-Amadeus systems.
  • Trace delayed or misrouted baggage and provide regular updates to passengers and airline stations.
  • Coordinate baggage recovery with ground handling agents and airport operations.
  • Organize and maintain baggage storage facilities for efficient tracking and retrieval.
  • Assist passengers with baggage claims, inquiries, and complaints in a professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and prepare daily baggage handling reports.
  • Monitor baggage handling equipment, conveyor belts, and arrival belt information.
  • Support the recovery of lost-and-found items.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to improve baggage handling efficiency.
  • Participate in training programmes and mentor newly recruited staff when required.

Required Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree.
  • Certificate in computer applications.
  • Previous customer service experience, preferably within the airline or hospitality industry.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

RwandAir is seeking experienced and highly skilled pilots to join its Flight Operations Department as First Officers. The successful candidates will support the Pilot-in-Command in ensuring safe, efficient, and professional flight operations while complying with international aviation regulations and company operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities

The First Officer will:

Assist the Captain in the safe operation of scheduled flights.
Monitor flight progress and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.
Maintain thorough knowledge of company operational manuals and aviation regulations.
Report operational hazards and safety concerns promptly.
Support emergency decision-making whenever necessary.
Promote the highest standards of flight safety and operational excellence.

Minimum Requirements

Candidates must possess:

  • Valid ICAO, EASA, or FAA Commercial Pilot Licence.
  • First-Class Medical Certificate.
  • Radio Telephony Licence or endorsement.
  • Valid type rating for Boeing 737, Airbus A330, or Dash 8 Q400.
  • ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4 or higher.
  • Minimum of 1,500 total flying hours.
  • At least 500 flying hours on the aircraft type.
